Malaysia Airlines’ Group Chief Revenue Officer Ignatius Ong said, “We have already seen great take up for our MHexplorer programme since its launch in October last year. Today, it has been expanded further to include even more exciting benefits for members. We understand the needs and concerns of our younger traveller and these partnerships go a long way in addressing them. Travelling can be expensive and confusing for the first time traveller. There are flights to secure, taxis to book, hotels to research as well as mobile coverage to ensure. All of these on top of a budget to be mindful of. These new benefits look at the travel experience holistically, allowing our students to plan and book their complete travel itinerary all on one convenient platform and with great discounts as well. Now is the perfect time for students to sign up with MHexplorer. Let Malaysia Airlines and our great partners take care of the details leaving students the time to enjoy the actual travel experience.”

“At Expedia, we spend every day looking for ways to improve the travel experience for our travellers through the use of technology and data science, bringing them better choices, simplicity in booking through our web and mobile app, with greater savings. We are very excited to bring Expedia’s extensive access of more than 1 million properties globally, including thousands of amazing ones in Southeast Asia coupled with more than 35 thousand plus activities around the world to student travellers of Malaysia Airlines. Our collaboration with Malaysia Airlines today is one more step forward on our journey to introducing more affordable travel options, and we are hoping our student communities will enjoy their holiday experience as much as they enjoy their Malaysian hospitality with our National carrier,” said Lavinia Rajaram, Regional Head of Communications, Brand Expedia.

Commenting on the partnership, Rashid Shukor, Head of Operations, Grab Malaysia said, “Grab is honored to serve as Malaysia Airlines’ dedicated land transport partner for the MHexplorer programme.
